Spokane Trip

Here are some photos of our Spokane trip. I know I already said this, but I really liked Spokane. They have a gondola! Notably missing from these photos are any photos of our trip on the gondola. I think I've had a little camera burnout. Really I just want a second camera that is sensibly sized. We stopped at the Grand Coulee Dam to Juan's delight. He's been wanting to go there since we moved. His love of large mechanical things persists. Lately he really, really wants a motorhome. He wants us to have one and he wants to have one when he grows up.

Juan channels Woodie Guthrie (check out the David Cassidy hair btw).

I just thought this was a cool slide but John took it to mean that Red Riders roots are in Spokane. Thoughts?

Mary Lu is climbing here. At the Art Fair this summer she tore open my shirt while climbing up me. She does tiny pull-ups on our kitchen counter.

I don't know why this is underlined but I can't make it go away. My technical inadequacies are literally underlined here. This is Juan riding around Riverside (front?) Park during Kids Day in Spokane.

We were in Spokane while John worked at the air show. I have not included any air show photos here aside from this one which is Juan at the controls of one air craft or other. The helicopter was cool--Juan and Mary Lu totally dug that. Who doesn't love a helicopter. Other than that the air show for me was mostly entertaining only until I ran out of Top Gun lines to spout at John. I don't understand the appeal of air shows. We were taking the kids underneath some giant aircraft and a military person of some kind was under there. John pointed him out to Juan and together they asked what his job was, "Bombardier," he said. "Oh," we replied and moved quickly on.

Gordon! Gordon from Sesame Street was at Kids Day. Gordon!
